Welcome 2010!

Like all good new years, we started off with an expedition. This expedition took P&F and D&K (and F's Mom) to Niagara Falls on New Year's Day. An amazing place to visit in any season. Here's the gang in front of the American Falls.

We rode the Giant Wheel (approx. 180 foot in diameter ferris wheel)

Here's the bravest member of our party, F's Mom (one day shy of her 80th birthday) getting off the Giant Wheel.

Niagara Falls as seen on a snowy New Year's Day from the Giant Wheel.

D&K make such a striking couple don't ya think?

We visited the Butterfly Conservatory.

The day was gray but some of the views along the Niagara River were breathtaking.

The day before we had visited the Distillery District in Toronto where D&K had re-enacted their recent activities (see the post below on Parliament Hill in Ottawa)

P looked beautiful as always.

The Distillery District is an amazing place to visit. Over 100 years ago it was a thriving distillery and today is full of art, craft, food, drink and other interesting places.

and we toasted all these activities with our own set of customized mugs with our initials on them.

So from our family to yours, Happy New Year and may 2010 bring you everything you can imagine and more!
