Well, if life is a book, then from time to time chapters end and new chapters begin. Our GTA (Greater Toronto Area) chapter ended last week and we moved to the Ottawa area (Arnprior).
As our Mississauga time wound down we were excited about the future and the move, but it also means having to say "good bye" (actually "see you later!") to good friends. Then we got into the driver's seat of a UHaul about the size of Montana and drove off to Arnprior.
So now we being the Arnprior chapter of life's tale. So far (3 days into the "rest of our lives" that we hope to spend here) and we are loving it. This is a town of 7,500 people where people say hi to you on the street, where the day we moved in 5 neighbors offered help if we needed it, where kids still ride their bikes down the street and play street hockey. In many ways it feels like the movie "Field Of Dreams":
"Is this Heaven?"
"No, it's just Arnprior"
And so we've begun this new "chapter", and the best part is that we are richer for all the friends we've made during previous chapters of life's story (Amherstburg, Waterloo, Brampton, Minden, Terrace Bay, Longlac, Schreiber, Smithers, Calgary, Mississauga) plus all the new ones we will make here.
